John D. Spurling Scholarship

In celebration of the Human-Canine Bond, the Fund awards five scholarships per year, totaling $10,000 annually, payable as tuition assistance to accredited institutions to full-time students enrolled in courses of study that contribute to the well-being of dogs and responsible pet ownership. Individuals pursuing studies in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, physical therapy, animal care, animal behavior, grooming and training, may be eligible for this grant. George Ward Scholarship

The George Ward Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to apprentice handlers pursuing academic and professional enrichment. AKC Register Handler Program Apprentices seeking financial assistance for post-secondary education are invited to apply in August.
