The Fund provides financial assistance to rescue organizations, and breed clubs participating in rescue efforts, working to ensure the safety and health of dogs. It also supports victims of domestic abuse by offering grants to shelters that can or want to accept animals, allowing individuals to seek refuge with their pets. Additionally, the AKC Humane Fund℠ offers scholarships to students pursuing veterinary education, ensuring the future of compassionate animal care. By fostering a community of care and compassion, the Fund works tirelessly to improve the lives of dogs and their owners. Its commitment extends to the preservation of the bond between humans and animals, making it a leading advocate for canine welfare and the broader pet-loving community.
